New Feature in DITAToo Translation Management: Get Translated DITA Files for External Publishing

Based on the feedback we are receiving from our implementation partners and customers, we keep improving the translation management features in DITAToo.

Today I want to tell you about one more small, but useful enhancement we’ve made. Remember that earlier DITAToo allowed you to download an entire DITA project with all relevant files (topics, graphics, and ditaval files) to a local drive? This was a very useful feature for those users who wanted to publish DITA through an external tool, like FrameMaker, rather than via DITA OT.

Now, because you might have a DITA project translated to multiple languages, we’ve added a possibility to select the language in which you want to download the project. For example, if you have a project translated into German and Italian, and you want to publish the German version, you can select German in the same dialog box you used for downloading project files, and the German version of the project will be downloaded!
